Idia Miranda, Pastor William Reyes´ wife, is grateful for your outpouring of concern and support. In light of concerning developments, we are providing additional information on the situation, prayer requests and a model letter for advocacy to facilitate continued accompaniment.

During the report period of 2007, program volunteers documented 27 assassinations of men, women and children linked to congregations, 95 cases of forced displacement, 172 death threats and other human rights and International Humanitarian Law violations. All parties to the armed conflict participated in committing these violations suffered by members of more than 18 Evangelical and Protestant churches, a minority group estimated at more than five million people. In the last year Colombian nongovernmental organizations, including the Justapaz and Peace Commission Documentatin Program, have registered more than 535 extrajudicial executions and more than 800 since 2002.
